Mrs. Conway, 3rd Grade Teacher

Welcome to my home page!

 

I've been an educator for 17 years as of 2022. For the first two years at Horace Mann, I taught 6th grade Social Studies and Language Arts and third grade ever since. Before that, I had taught a 2nd and 3rd grade split-class at Glendale Unified.

 

I have a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts. I studied Architectural design at CSULA and UCLA. I worked in the field of design for several years before entering Pepperdine University for my teaching credential and earning my Master's degree in Education.

 

I was born in Seoul, South Korea before my family started to move around the world due to my father's work. I have lived, of course, in Asia, Western Europe, Canada and now here in the United States. I went to elementary and middle school in Seoul and in London. 

 

I feel fortunate to be teaching and consider it a privilege to teach and influence students of all ages. I try to bring my creativity to my lessons and I am always trying to research to implement ways that can reach the learning needs of my students.
