On Wednesday, February 18th, 2009, Horace Mann's 7th graders
will leave for the Catalina Island Marine Institute (CIMI) on Catalina Island
to participate in an amazing outdoor educational experience. Students will
return to Beverly Hills on Friday, February 20th, 2009.
Students will participate in snorkeling, day hiking, ocean labs from a boat,
various indoor oceanographic labs, an amazing night snorkel, rock climbing
wall, a campfire, a cool hike at dawn and a very interesting astronomy night
hike! Whew! A great time will be had by all!
There will be an informational assembly for students and
parents in the Ron Brown Auditorium at Horace Mann School on Wednesday, October
8th at 2:25 PM. We hope to see you there!
Sign-up packets will be distributed at the assembly. As
always, space is limited so please sign up early!
