Administration Team

Ms. Ontrece Ellerbe, Principal, joins the Horace Mann administration team. She served as Executive Director of the Global Education Academy since 2020, where she worked in close collaboration with principals across the academy. Preceding this, she dedicated eight years as Principal at Tibby K-8 School and another four years as Principal at George Washington Elementary School. Her foundational years as an elementary school teacher, coupled with extensive leadership experience in elementary education, highlight her dedication to our youngest learners throughout her career. Mrs. Molly Hwang, Assistant Principal, has been a teacher, curriculum specialist and administrator with over 20 years of elementary experience. She is a life-long learner herself and hopes to be a positive contributor to our students academic and social emotional success. She is committed to having all students reach their highest potential. Ms. Yvette Walker, Assistant Principal, has had the privilege of working with students from diverse backgrounds supporting them to reach their full potential. In 2013, she transitioned into administration (after teaching kinder for 20 years!), where she continued to contribute to the education landscape by leading teams and implementing effective strategies. She holds a Masters in Education from Claremont Graduate School and is a life-long learner. When not at work, Ms. Walker enjoys health and fitness, horseback riding, and gardening.
