Board of Education Meeting on Tuesday, March 24, 2020
Governor’s Executive Order Waives Physical Meeting Requirement during Coronavirus (COVID-19) Pandemic
As per Executive Order N-29-20 from Governor Newsom, the Beverly Hills Unified School District Board of Education meeting scheduled for Tuesday, March 24, 2020, at 5:00p.m. will move to a virtual/teleconferencing environment. Our normal mechanisms of publicizing the meeting will continue on Youtube by going to https://www.youtube.com/KBEV6 and clicking on videos.
The meeting will show a visual of the District Logo and will be Audio Only. There will be no physical meeting location.
The purpose of the Governor’s executive order is to control the spread of Coronavirus (COVID19) and to reduce and minimize the risk of infection by “limiting attendance at public assemblies, conferences, or other mass events.”
The Governor’s executive order on March 12, 2020, already waived the requirement for a majority of board members to physically participate in a public board meeting at the same location.
If members of the public would like to contact the Board of Education about the upcoming agenda, please do so by 4 p.m. on March 24 by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. These comments will be shared with the board members prior to the board meeting. If you wish for your written comment to be read aloud, please indicate this specifically in your communication. Requests for written comments to be read aloud will be honored, subject to the Board’s usual time limits on public comment.
