Years at Horace Mann: about 6 weeks so far

Describe your family and background: I am married and have a 16 year old son. We live in Rancho Park.

What is something that most people don’t know about you? I can fly a plane and solve a Rubik’s Cube.

What do you love most about Horace Mann? I’ve been so welcomed by students, teachers, and parents. I really love walking through the campus and hearing so many voices saying, “Mrs. Bieler! Mrs. Bieler!” It makes me feel like a rock star.

What should our community most treasure about Horace Mann? There is such a diverse population here at Horace Mann- so many languages, so many countries represented.

 My philosophy

  • It's not about the device, it's about the learning
  • Technology is a tool and a means, not the content
  • Growth mindset is imperative.
  • FAIL = first attempt in learning
  • #onenewthing
